Anice was a personal favorite for her intuitive nature and clever personality. She always had a sense of her own self and never grovelled for approval or attention. She didn't have to. Her show career included a multitude of specialty wins under the most respected judges, at least half of her finest wins as a senior. In the whelping box, she produced the youngest champion of 2004 in Ch. Barksdale Sunlight and Shadow, the 2006 CCA High In Trial Obedience winner (both trials!), and Barksdale Regimental Colors by her half brother Ch. Barksdale Beneficiary, ROM/ROMP. In a litter by Ch. Barksdale Lochlaren Lustre, her daughter, Barksdale Lochlaren Dulcinea moved to Barbara Cleek's Lochlaren where she became the dam of 5 champions, 3 by Anthony and 2 by Ch. Graceway's Who's The Boss. Anice was also the subject of a graphic art project that earned a Dog Writer's Association Maxwell Award.
